One Premier League manager is already facing dressing room unrest just three matches into the new season, according to reports.

The managerial sack-race is heating up with several top bosses facing scrutiny over their respective teams difficult start to the new English top-flight campaign.

Sean Dyche is under pressure after losing all three opening matches and Everton sinking to the bottom of the Premier League table, Erik ten Hag has again a similarly start with Man United and a host of newly-promoted bosses are struggling with the increased competitiveness of the Premier League.

Leicester City are amongst those struggling clubs where after winning the Championship title have just one point from their first three matches and face similarly struggling Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Unconvincing performances and results at the Foxes has left boss Steve Cooper already facing discontent from some players within his first-team squad, as reported by The Sun.

Cooper's reported 'hands-off' approach to management has failed to win over a selection of senior players who aren't convinced that the Englishman is the best person to take the club forward.

Former head coach Enzo Maresca departed Leicester to join Chelsea in the summer - taking Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with him - and took his intense preparational style with him.

Under Maresca, Leicester stars were constantly instructed on all elements of his vision both in training and on matchdays, while Cooper adopts a less intense style of management.

The 44-year-old - who was previously sacked by Nottingham Forest last season - instead gives players more freedom to express themselves and make decisions without his input.

Some players have also been asked for their view on game tactics and new potential signings by Cooper.

At Forest, Cooper was largely well-liked by the group of players he was working with, but faced several unsettling runs of results that eventually culminated with him leaving the City Ground in December.

He initially took time away from football during the second-half of last season but returned to the Premier League where he has been tasked with keeping Leicester amongst England's elite.

Cooper is currently just a few months into a three-year deal at the King Power stadium.
