OILERS ISSUE QUALIFYING OFFERS TO FIVE RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

The Edmonton Oilers have issued qualifying offers to five of their pending restricted free agents.

The team announced Sunday that forwards James Hamblin, Dylan Holloway and Raphael Lavoie and defencemen Philip Broberg and Noel Hoefenmayer all received the qualifying offer.

Holloway, 22, was Edmonton’s first-round pick in 2020 and has played in 89 games over the past two seasons. He found his goal-scoring touch during Edmonton’s run to the Stanley Cup Final, finding the back of the night five times in the post-season.

Hamblin, 25, skated in 31 games for the Oilers in 2023-24, scoring two goals and picking up one assist. The Edmonton native also played in 13 AHL games with the Bakersfield Condors, scoring four goals.

Lavoie, 23, made his NHL debut in 2023-24 after being selected in the 2019 NHL Draft. While he didn’t record any points in seven games with the Oilers, Lavoie registered 28 goals in 66 AHL games.

Broberg, 23, played in 12 regular-season and 10 post-season games with Edmonton. The 2019 eighth-overall pick scored two goals in the playoffs.

Hoefenmayer, 25, has yet to make his NHL debut but scored seven goals in 47 AHL games last season.

Edmonton did not issue qualifying offers to forward Carter Savoie and goalie Ryan Fanti.
